Introduction Example Text

Introducing yourself yo your employer

An introduction letter, email or message is a great opportunity to explain to your employer why you want the job and what you have to offer. Keep it simple, if you write too much there is a good chance that it won’t even be read!

Focus on keeping it real!

Use one of the example texts below, but remember to add words that better describe the person you are. The employer might read the letter before your interview, and it would be best if the description matched the person walking through the door!

NOTE: Remember that many other people (based in Cornwall) will be using these examples – so it’s important to change words or mix them up where you can!

I would be very grateful if you would consider my application should a labourers role become available within (Build-it Construction).

As you will see, I have basic site experience, basic tools and my own PPE.
Having seen (the work you carried out at 8 High Street, Helston), I would love the opportunity to support your team on future projects and show you how committed I am to a career in construction.
