Careers In Construction

Building a positive future in construction..

Year by year the shortfall of experienced trades-people becomes greater and greater and therefore demand increases, opening up more and more opportunities for those who are willing to commit to learning and mastering a construction skill.

‘More than 60% of South West companies report a shortage of skilled workers!’

And for those willing to gain new skills come the rewards; dependant on skillset day rates on construction sites vary from £120-180 (30-45k per annum), though price work (when you’re given a fixed price for a project) or self-employed work can pay more.

So, how best to enter the industry? Employers can have a difficult time when recruiting a ‘green’ employee, one that has very little site experience. Our programmes are designed to overcome this by arming our trainees with a solid construction foundation of basic skills and qualifications.

Trainees have the option to use our online Construction College, volunteer with us on projects that benefit your local community and carry out work experience with our Construction Partners.

At Omni-Build we offer three levels of support to help you achieve your construction career goals.
